KKOB/Albuquerque Welcomes Back Darren White as PD

Cumulus Media appoints Darren White as Program Director for News/Talk KKOB (770AM & 96.3 FM News Radio) in Albuquerque. In addition to his new role with News Radio KKOB, White will also program sister Sports/Talk KNML (610AM & 95.9FM The Sports Animal). This marks a return to Cumulus Albuquerque and News Radio KKOB for White, who was an host for the station from 2019-2021 from 1-3pm weekdays and hosted a weekend show on News Radio KKOB.

In addition to his radio background, White brings public service experience in Albuquerque and New Mexico through his previous positions as Public Safety Director for the Albuquerque Police and Fire Departments, Sheriff of Bernalillo County, Head of Public Safety for the State of New Mexico under Governor Gary Johnson, and New Mexico Chairman for George W. Bush 2004 re-election campaign. White has also been a local business owner and served in the U.S. Airborne Division.
