Podcast Radio has expanded its U.S. presence by launching on Alpha Media's KAUS-AM in the Austin-Rochester, MN, area. The station will provide listeners with a curated selection of podcasts across multiple genres, offering a fresh approach to radio-based podcast discovery.

The KAUS-AM partnership is notable for its introduction of dedicated genre hours, a first for Podcast Radio affiliates. Listeners will now have access to themed blocks of content, including business, true crime, comedy and music conversations, ensuring a tailored listening experience throughout the day. The genre-focused scheduling allows audiences to explore diverse content in a structured format, all presented through Podcast Radio's innovative platform in collaboration with LRN.

"Alpha Media has been an incredible partner, and we look forward to expanding our presence," said Podcast Radio CEO Gerard Edwards. "Our genre-based scheduling allows us to offer something for every listener, while using the trusted radio format to connect audiences with the world of podcasts."

Among the new programming on KAUS-AM:

  • Business Content: Insights from global business leaders and entrepreneurs.
  • True Crime Hours: Gripping podcasts that delve into chilling mysteries.
  • Comedy Shows: Humor and entertaining discussions from top comedic podcasts.
  • Music Features: In-depth conversations covering alternative rock, hip-hop and more.

With its expansion to Minnesota, Podcast Radio continues to provide a diverse array of podcast content directly to traditional radio listeners, blending radio's familiarity with the growing world of podcasting.
