Scott Spezzano and Sandy Waters, the co-hosts of WBZA-FM (98.9 The Buzz) morning show, are celebrating a major milestone in Rochester, NY radio as they mark 25 years on air. To commemorate their quarter-century run, the Audacy owned station will host a special invite-only morning show celebration at the Geva Theatre on Friday, October 18, from 6-9am ET.

The event will feature a trip down memory lane as Spezzano and Sandy reflect on their 25 years of entertaining listeners with laughs, unforgettable moments and special guest appearances. The celebration, which also includes surprises, will highlight their status as the longest-running morning show in Rochester's history. As part of the festivities, Rochester Mayor Malik Evans will deliver a proclamation officially declaring October 18 as "Spezzano & Sandy Day."

Audacy Rochester Senior Vice President and Market Manager Sue Munn said, "From their days on 98PXY and seamless transition to 98.9 The Buzz, Spezzano and Sandy have been an integral part of the fabric of Rochester radio for 25 years. Their ability to entertain listeners in such a relatable way and to develop relationships with countless clients and charitable organizations is a testament to their commitment to and passion for serving the Rochester community."

Spezzano and Sandy expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to connect with their audience over the years, saying, "It seemed like a blink of an eye, but 25 years of being able to wake up and engage our listeners has been so much fun. First on 98PXY and now with the 98.9 The Buzz fam... we're so blessed."

Throughout their career, the pair has consistently ranked in the Top 10 among adults aged 25-54 and has built strong ties with the Rochester community. Their charitable efforts, including fundraising for local and national organizations such as the Salvation Army, have earned them numerous awards and recognitions over the years.
