The 26th annual "KLUC Chet Buchanan Show Toy Drive," hosted by 98.5 KLUC-FM and presented by the Venetian Resort, concluded successfully with significant contributions from the Las Vegas community. The event gathered 42 Coca-Cola trucks filled with toys, 7,674 bicycles, and $786,894 in cash and gift cards, all in support of Help of Southern Nevada.

The toy drive, which ran from December 5 through December 16 at NV Energy headquarters, saw widespread participation from donors who arrived to see the show's host, Chet Buchanan, broadcasting live from a 20-foot scaffold. Buchanan encouraged local community members to not only donate but also volunteer, highlighting the deep impact of their involvement.

Audacy Las Vegas Senior Vice President and Market Manager Gina Massenzi expressed her appreciation for the community's support. "A simple act of kindness goes a long way, and it multiplies in the midst of the holiday season," Massenzi stated, acknowledging the generosity of sponsors, the dedication of staff, and the enthusiasm of volunteers.

Chet Buchanan, the drive's host and creator, shared insights into the profound effect of the event on the community. "You'll see first-hand how the Toy Drive impacts and changes lives, for parents every bit as much as kids. It's a hand up, not a handout," Buchanan remarked.

Help of Southern Nevada, the beneficiary of the drive, coordinates the distribution of the collected toys and bikes to various charities across Southern Nevada, supporting their mission to help people help themselves.
