The radio and broadcasting community mourns the loss of Andrew "Tiny" Aasen, a former star of "The Marconi Show" in the 2000s, who passed away recently at the age of 43. Known for his vibrant humor and warm presence, Aasen was not only a celebrated broadcaster but also a dedicated medical professional.
Born in Portland, OR, Aasen quickly became a fan favorite for his infectious laughter and knack for lightening the hearts of his listeners. After his stint in radio, he pursued a career in medicine, driven by a passion to help and heal others.
"Tiny was much more than a colleague; he was family," expressed Marconi, Aasen's long-time radio partner. "He brought joy and laughter to everyone around him and had a profound impact on our lives. His departure leaves a void that cannot be filled."
Aasen is survived by his siblings, Lynn, Michelle, and Aaron. His friends, family, and fans will remember him for his kindness, generosity, and the indelible mark he left on both the broadcasting and healthcare industries.
In his honor, Marconi and another former co-host, Nik Miles, will dedicate a special tribute podcast episode.
