In a move to broaden its coverage and reach, Audacy is expanding KMOX (News Radio 1120 AM) in St. Louis by adding an FM broadcast at 104.1 FM, starting March 24. This expansion aims to enhance the station's coverage in the metropolitan area, further solidifying its role as the voice of St. Louis and the official broadcaster of Cardinals baseball. KMOX was previously accessible on 98.7 FM and will continue to broadcast on its original AM channel.

Becky Domyan, Senior Vice President and Market Manager for Audacy in St. Louis and Wichita, said, "We're thrilled to expand KMOX's reach and bring the trusted news and entertainment our listeners rely on, as well as Cardinals baseball, on an enhanced FM signal that covers the greater St. Louis region." Domyan also highlighted the move's impact on music lovers, noting, "We're equally as excited to continue delivering the hottest hip-hop and R&B on Hot 98.7's new dial position."

The shift also involves a frequency swap for WHHL-FM (Hot 104.1), which will move to 98.7 FM and rebrand as Hot 98.7, displacing Hot AC KYKY (Y98). This change is expected to keep the station's hip-hop and R&B format under the new banner.

Listeners can access KMOX in St. Louis both on air and nationwide via the Audacy app and website.
