KIRO (Seattle Sports 710 AM) and the Seattle Mariners launch "The Cal Raleigh Show," a new weekly broadcast that promises fans a unique peek into the life and insights of the Mariners' acclaimed catcher, Cal Raleigh. The program will premiere today at 5pm PT and is set to air every Thursday during the Mariners' 2025 season.
Each episode will feature Raleigh alongside Mariners insider Shannon Drayer on "Wyman & Bob," where they will engage in revealing conversations about Raleigh's experiences on the field, particularly his role as a switch-hitting catcher and his views on playing with one of Major League Baseball's top pitching staffs. The show aims to provide an intimate look at Raleigh's personal and professional life, delving into his contributions during games and his thoughts on the season's pivotal moments.
"The Cal Raleigh Show" will maintain a consistent schedule every Thursday at 5pm PT, except on days when the team travels across time zones, moving to an earlier slot. Fans unable to tune in live can catch up with the show on-demand through the Seattle Sports App and the station's YouTube channel.
Raleigh, who rose to prominence as a premier MLB catcher in 2024, has been remarkable both on and off the field. He led all major league catchers in home runs for the third year running and received both the AL Gold Glove and Platinum Glove Awards last year. His outstanding performance also earned him the 2024 Sports Star of the Year award from the Seattle Sports Commission.
Kyle Brown, Program Director for Seattle Sports, expressed enthusiasm about the new show, stating, "We're thrilled to provide our fans with more access to Mariners players and the stories behind the scenes. Cal's insights into his leadership, his role on the team, and the Mariners' season will offer fans an even closer connection to the team in 2025."
