The Academy of Country Music today unveiled the winners of the ACM Radio Awards ahead of its landmark 60th awards ceremony, scheduled for May 8. The event, set to take place at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, will be streamed exclusively on Amazon's Prime Video.
This year's announcement was particularly special as Ella Langley, the leading nominee with eight nods, personally delivered the good news to the winning radio personalities and stations.
In the On-Air Personality categories, several first-time recipients were recognized. Lorianne Crook and Charlie Chase of the "Crook & Chase Countdown" clinched the National Weekly On-Air Personality of the Year. In major markets, the morning trio of Josh Holleman, Rachael Hunter, and Steve Grunwald from Detroit's "Josh, Rachael and Grunwald In The Morning" took the accolades. Medium Market On-Air Personality of the Year was awarded to Joey Tack and Nancy Barger for "Joey & Nancy" in Knoxville, and Mel McCrae of Pensacola's "The Cat Pak Morning Show" garnered the honor in the small market category.
Notable multiple-time winners included "Big D & Bubba," securing their fourth National Daily On-Air Personality award, and "The Big Dave Show" from Cincinnati, with Big Dave and Stattman achieving their fourth and third awards respectively. Brent Lane also picked up his third accolade for his work on Pensacola's "The Cat Pak Morning Show."
In the Radio Station of the Year segments, KYGO/Denver was named Major Market Radio Station of the Year for the second time, while WQDR/Raleigh claimed its fourth title for Large Market Radio Station of the Year. WIVK/Knoxville notched its ninth win in the Medium Market category, and WXBQ/Bristol was awarded Small Market Radio Station of the Year for the second time.
This year's ACM Awards, which return to Texas for the third consecutive year, promise an unforgettable celebration with performances by Country music legends including Blake Shelton, Eric Church, and Lainey Wilson. A limited number of tickets are still available via SeatGeek.
The event is produced by Dick Clark Productions, with Raj Kapoor as executive producer and showrunner, joined by co-executive producer Patrick Menton. Damon Whiteside, Jay Penske, Barry Adelman, and consulting producer John Saade from Amazon MGM Studios also contribute to the production team.
