Christian FM Media Group is hosting a free virtual learning session to introduce Contemporary Christian radio professionals to a new AI-powered tool designed specifically for faith-based media. The event will spotlight a Christian AI Chat Assistant developed by tech company Gloo, promising to offer practical support for listener engagement and station operations.
The webinar, set for Tuesday, April 30 at 12pm ET on Zoom, aims to provide stations with what organizers say is "real help" at a time when many Christian broadcasters are navigating tight budgets and staff limitations. The AI assistant, they say, is built to handle a wide range of tasks-from answering listener questions and scripture-based inquiries to supporting donor engagement and prayer requests.
According to Christian FM, the tool operates 24/7, costs approximately $1-2 per hour, and can engage with hundreds of users simultaneously. It is promoted as a supplement to station staff, able to take on repetitive listener-facing tasks while flagging messages that need a human response.
Key features of the assistant include: real-time answers to station and song questions, interaction with prayer walls and donor systems, management of music requests, contests, and follow-ups, scriptural references and explanations and listener insights to inform programming and fundraising.
The event will also include a live Q&A session and an undisclosed "major bonus" for attendees.
Christian FM says the technology will also be discussed at next month's CMB Momentum conference, but is encouraging station leaders to get a first look during the April 30 webinar.
