The Minnesota Star Tribune and Lemonada Media have teamed up to launch Worth It, a new weekly podcast delivering reviews, recommendations, and unexpected insights tailored to Minnesotans. The show premieres Friday, May 2, with new episodes dropping every Friday.
Co-hosted by Star Tribune night editor Nicole Norfleet and outstate columnist Aaron Brown, Worth It aims to be a go-to guide for "what to know, where to go, and what to skip" across the North Star State.
"Minnesota is the land of 10,000 possibilities, and we're here to tell you which ones are worth it," said Norfleet, a 15-year Star Tribune veteran based in St. Paul. Brown, a fifth-generation Iron Ranger from Itasca County, added, "We skip the Minnesota Nice and get right to the good stuff."
The show blends "local flavor, expert recommendations, and tips you didn't know you needed-served with humor, curiosity, and just the right amount of sass and spark," according to the announcement.
Jessica Cordova Kramer, CEO and co-founder of Lemonada Media, praised the partnership: "We are such believers in the power of local media to foster a strong community. It has been a wonderful opportunity to partner with the Minnesota Star Tribune to celebrate all the ins and outs of our mutual home state on this exciting new series."
Listeners can stream the trailer and subscribe on all major podcast platforms ahead of the May 2 debut.
