The Q Morning Show Celebrates 500th Broadcast

Country KKBQ (93Q) in Houston hit a major milestone Friday morning as The Q Morning Show with Riggs, Katelyn & Erica celebrated its 500th episode with a live broadcast and fan event at Whataburger on the Katy Freeway. Listeners began lining up before sunrise to join the high-energy party, packing the parking lot at 12121 Katy Fwy. The first 93 attendees received free Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits, kicking off a morning of giveaways and music.

The station surprised fans with a "Whata-Surprize" Drawing, awarding three major prizes: A Scotty McCreery autographed guitar, tickets to Cowboys & Angels -- and the grand prize -- Whataburger for a year.

"500 shows is no small feat, and we couldn't have done it without the Morning Mob - our most loyal listeners," said co-host Riggs.

Katelyn Maida added, "I love my city so much. Houston always shows up-we appreciate each and every listener who came through."

"Shoutout to the First Responders who came out during their shifts as well-we appreciate you all so much," said Erica Rico.

Fans enjoyed behind-the-scenes moments of the live show, including surprise guest shoutouts and a live edition of the popular "Katelyn Can't Lose" segment. As the show wrapped its celebratory broadcast, the trio left listeners with one final note: "Here's to the next 500."
