RadioFX Mourns Passing of Jesse ''Hollywood'' Rios

RadioFX is mourning the unexpected death of Jesse "Hollywood" Rios, a freelance sales representative and influential figure in Tejano and Latin radio, who passed away on May 21 at the age of 56.
Born Jesus Carlos Arce, Rios began his radio career at the age of 16, working overnight shifts at XZOL Radio Sol 860 AM in El Paso while still attending Eastwood High School. His dedication and love for the medium carried him through a distinguished career that spanned decades and included major market stops in San Antonio, Houston, Tucson, Los Angeles, and Phoenix.
Rios joined RadioFX as a freelance sales rep, where he became known for his deep industry knowledge, tireless work ethic, and enduring support of Hispanic radio. He was widely regarded as a mentor and innovator within the broadcasting community.
"Jesse was more than a colleague; he was a cherished member of the RadioFX family," said John Wanzung, CEO of RadioFX. "His passion for Hispanic radio and commitment to excellence left an indelible mark on our organization and the industry at large."
Rios is survived by his daughters, Krystal and Megan, who have expressed appreciation for the support they've received. A GoFundMe page has been launched to assist the family with funeral expenses.
Jesse "Hollywood" Rios leaves behind a legacy of mentorship, advocacy, and lasting impact in the radio industry.
