iHeartPodcasts and Clockwork Films have unveiled "Crying Wolf," a new 10-part true crime podcast series exploring wrongful convictions, systemic corruption, and a powerful friendship that sought justice against impossible odds. The series debuts October 22 with new episodes released every Wednesday.

Hosted by journalist and author Dax-Devlon Ross, Crying Wolf tells the story of Lee Harris, a Chicago man coerced into confessing to murder and sentenced to 90 years in prison. While incarcerated, Harris befriended another inmate, Robert, who made it his mission to prove Harris's innocence. After two decades of uncovering corruption, unreliable witnesses, and misconduct by investigators-including disgraced detective Richard Zuley-Robert succeeded. Harris was exonerated in 2023, only to die unexpectedly months later.

The podcast also revisits the unsolved murder of Dana Feitler and exposes deeper patterns of abuse and deception within Chicago's justice system.

"Crying Wolf is a powerful example of what makes investigative audio storytelling so compelling," said Will Pearson, President of iHeartPodcasts. "It's eye-opening, heartbreaking, and deeply human."

Clockwork Films Executive Producer Naomi Harvey described the series as "an extraordinary story of formidable friendship and jaw-dropping corruption," while Ross emphasized its emotional heart: "In prison, Lee showed Robert a simple kindness, and in return Robert spent two decades fighting for his freedom."

Distributed by iHeartPodcasts, Crying Wolf includes two bonus episodes focusing on the ongoing Anthony Garrett case and is available on the iHeartRadio app and all major podcast platforms.
