Edison Research has released its list of the Top 50 Podcasts in the U.S. for the third quarter of 2025, ranking shows by audience reach among weekly podcast consumers aged 13 and older. The findings are based on Edison Podcast Metrics, which measures total audience reach in both audio and video formats.

The top four shows hold their positions from Q2 2025: The Joe Rogan Experience remains at No. 1, followed by Crime Junkie, The Daily, and Call Her Daddy. SmartLess moves up one spot to round out the top five.

Rounding out the Top 10 are This Past Weekend with Theo Von at No. 6, New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce climbing three spots to No. 7, Dateline NBC at No. 8, Morbid jumping nine spots to No. 9, and Stuff You Should Know at No. 10.

Two shows enter the Top 20 for the first time: The Meidas Touch Podcast debuts at No. 14 after briefly surpassing The Joe Rogan Experience in YouTube watch time earlier in the quarter, and The Charlie Kirk Show surges 32 spots to No. 17 following Kirk's death on September 10. The show continues to release new episodes.

Among new entrants to the Top 50, On Purpose with Jay Shetty lands at No. 42, aided by his appearance on The Today Show around the September 11 anniversary.

Other notable gains include New Heights, buoyed by a Taylor Swift guest appearance; Candace at No. 28, following host Candace Owens' return from maternity leave; The Pat McAfee Show, which hits an all-time high of No. 26; and The Bill Simmons Podcast, jumping to No. 36 with the start of football season.

Just outside the Top 50 are Diary of a CEO at No. 51 and Giggly Squad at No. 52. Edison Research conducted interviews continuously throughout the quarter in both English and Spanish, based on respondents who listened to or watched a podcast in the previous week.
