TM Studios has partnered with Westwood One Sports to develop a new sonic identity for the network's 24/7 National Sports Network. The project includes a thematic package featuring high-energy contemporary show opens and beds built around a newly created four-note sonic signature. The branding is designed to reflect the scale and positioning of the Westwood One/Audacy sports platform.
TM CEO Greg Clancy said Westwood One approached the company to create both a new audio logo and an overall sound that captures the vision of the sports network. He noted that once Bruce Gilbert came on board to lead the initiative, TM committed fully to the collaboration.
Bruce Gilbert, SVP, Sports, Content & Audience for Cumulus Media and Westwood One, said the creative process began with defining what Westwood One Sports represents to listeners. The team then identified sounds that would resonate with that audience. Gilbert said TM blended trap-inspired hip-hop beats, high-energy EDM elements and pop melodies to create a modern sound aligned with the network's contemporary presentation.
The new package is now airing across Westwood One Sports, which is carried on hundreds of stations nationwide and is also available on SiriusXM Channel 375 and via the Westwood One Sports app.
