iHeartMedia Jacksonville has named Casey Carter Program Director of Country 99.1 WQIK, effective immediately, while also appointing Heath West as the station's new afternoon host.

In her new role, Carter will oversee all programming for WQIK, including talent development, brand strategy and coordination with record labels. She will report to Rick Everett, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Jacksonville.

Everett said Carter brings "new ideas, energy and perspectives" that are expected to drive growth and collaboration for the station.

Carter has been with iHeartMedia since 2012 and will continue serving as Program Director for 101.1 WNOE in New Orleans alongside her new Jacksonville responsibilities. She previously held her first Program Director role in the Jacksonville market and said returning to lead WQIK is "beyond a dream come true."

West joins WQIK afternoons from iHeartMedia's West Palm Beach-Treasure Coast cluster, where he has served as Program Director of WAVE 92.7 in Fort Pierce since 1999. A Florida native, West called the WQIK brand "legendary" and said he is honored to join one of iHeartMedia's leading country stations.
