Ben Marcotte Named PD of Rock 105 and KGB San Diego

iHeartMedia has named Ben Marcotte Program Director of Rock KIOZ (Rock 105.3) and heritage Rock 101.5 KGB in San Diego, effective immediately.
In his new role, Marcotte will oversee programming as well as social and digital strategy for both stations. He will report to iHeartMedia Executive Vice President of Programming Gene Romano.
"Ben's broad background in rock makes him a perfect fit," said Romano. "He's always curious and creative on how to keep up with listener's always evolving tastes. He'll bring some full volume fun with him to the west coast!"
Marcotte brings more than 14 years of experience with iHeartMedia to the San Diego stations. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Programming for the company's Indianapolis and St. Louis markets.
His previous programming roles include serving as Program Director of Q95 and Indy 103.3 in Indianapolis and 96.5 JACK-FM and ALT 102.9 in Seattle.
"This felt like one of those opportunities you don't overthink," said Marcotte. "Two legendary stations, incredible teams, and a chance to do great radio in San Diego. Excited to get started."
