PWC Forecasts Rebound in 2010 Media Deal Market

PricewaterhouseCoopers is forecasting a rebound in mergers and acquisitions in the Entertainment and Media sector in 2010, following a 49% drop in deal value to $77.4 billion in 2009. Only 714 transactions were completed last year, down 29% from 1000 in 2008. Completed deals in 2009 represented 12.3% and 13.3% of total completed U.S. transaction value and volume, respectively.
