Regent Q4 Revenues Decline 10.1%, Loss Narrows
Regent Communications fourth quarter net broadcast revenues declined 10.1% to $21.3 million from $23.7 million in 2008. Station operating income (SOI) fell 17.8% to $7.3 million from $8.9 million. The company reported a net loss of $14.2 million (35 cents per share) as compared with a net loss of $75.4 million ($1.93) in the year-ago period. Regent said results for 2009 were impacted by a pre-tax non-cash impairment charge of $12.8 million.
On a same station basis, net broadcast revenue decreased 10.3% to $20.2 million from $22.6 million. Same station operating income fell 17.3% to $7.3 million from $8.9 million. (03-31-10)
