KGVL-AM (1400) and KIKT-FM (93.5)/Greenville, TX, are returning to Cumulus Broadcasting after being sold in June, 2009, to KGVL Radio LLC, a company owned by Alpha Horne, along with her husband Mike, who managed both stations. Horne said Tuesday the stations were going back to Cumulus and that he was resigning from the stations, reports the Herald Banner.
"Recent FCC decisions about the future of the stations have caused us to make a business decision to leave Greenville," Horne told the Newspaper. "We are grateful to everyone who has helped us with the stations and wish everyone in the area nothing but the best in the future."
Cumulus will assume control of the stations on July 1. The Hornes formerly owned KARV/Russellville, AR and KWCK/Searcy, AR.
