More than 600,000 Hispanic Adults in Southern California tuned into the opening World Cup match on Entravision's KLYY-FM (Jose) and KDLD-FM (El Gato)/Los Angeles. When it was all said and done, listenership included half of all Hispanic men listening to the radio. The matches between Mexico and South Africa on June 11 attracted 608,400 persons 6+ regardless of language, and more than 309,100 of Hispanic 18-49 men.
"To have more than 50% of all Hispanic men listening to radio in the Los Angeles-Riverside market tuned into our stations for the first World Cup match is a testament to the strong level of engagement our listeners have towards this tournament," said Entravision Radio President Jeffery Liberman. "We're pleased with the strong ratings we've generated thus far and the opportunities this has given our advertisers to reach this captive audience."
