Without much fanfare, Cumulus Media has shut down two Louisville stations, taking them silent and discontinuing operations. WLCL-FM (Classic Hits 93.9) and Sports WQKC-AM (1450 The Ticket) both went dark at noon on Tuesday. WLCL is a class A outlet with 2.6kw at 499 feet, while WQKC is 1kw non-directional. Both signals originate north of Louisville. Cumulus has reportedly put the duo up for sale. (08-03-10)
