Salem Closes on Buy of WWRC-AM/Washington DC

Red Zebra Broadcasting has closed on its sale of 5kw Business Talk WWRC-AM (Money 1260)/Washington, DC, to Salem Communications for $3.1 million. Red Zebra acquired the station in 2008 from Clear Channel as part of a multi-station deal which included Sports WTEM-AM (ESPN 980). WTEM is the flagship for the Washington Redskins and its network.
Salem also owns AM Business Talk outlets in San Francisco (KDOW) and Seattle (KKOL) as well as Christian Teaching WAVA-AM (780) and FM (105.1) in Washington, DC.
