Bustos Closes on Sale of KKHI/Denver to WAY-FM

Bustos Media has closed on it sale of Smooth Jazz KKHI-FM (K-High 101.9)/Denver to Christian radio broadcaster WAY-FM. The deal was filed at the FCC this past May and WAY-FM has been operating the station under a Time Brokerage Agreement (TBA) since then. Under the TBA, the station simulcast WAY-FM's Contemporary Christian KXWA-FM/Loveland, CO.
Last month it was announced that Bustos was being merged into NAP Broadcast Holdings, LLC, pending FCC approval which is expected in the next thirty days. Jay Meyers, President and CEO of Broadcast Management & Technology, is serving as Bustos interim CEO.
