Genesis Communications/Tampa inks a partnership with Radiolicious to stream its radio stations on the iPhone and iTouch. The free service allows listeners to access their favorite radio station from their smart phone no matter where they are. It also lets the listener interact with the station and advertisers through texting or direct e-mail.
Genesis President Bruce Maduri said, "The iPhone technology is the right digital platform for our radio stations. Unlike HD Radio, the iPhone delivers digital transmission, free of interference, that consumers want and hunger for. By offering our stations on this platform, we now broadcast over the air, on the computer, on the iPod and on the iPhone."
In March, Radiolicious signed an exclusive sales and marketing deal with ABC Radio Networks (now Citadel Media) with to provide its services to the network's radio affiliates.
