Sportsradio 610 WIP-AM/Philadelphia and Sports WFAN-AM/New York are teaming again to host a live simulcast on both stations and their respective streams, 610wip.com and wfan.com. The event will air October 28 from 10am-1pm to help get fans of both teams psyched for the 2009 World Series, beginning this Wednesday at Yankee Stadium.
Each station will present the case for why its team will win, which will help get fans pumped up and further fuel the massive rivalry between the two teams and cities. WIP and WFAN will simulcast each other's midday shows. WIP's midday hosts Anthony Gargano and Glen Macnow, will be on hand as well as WFAN's Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts along with special guests.
WIP host Anthony Gargano said, "It worked out so well the last time we tried this debate since the Eagles beat the Giants in the NFC Divisional Playoff game. We figured we'd just continue the beating with the Phils over the Yankees this time!"
WFAN's Joe Benigno adds, "Of course I'm upset the Mets aren't in this thing but I can't think of a sexier match up than Yanks-Phils. Two powerhouse teams, two powerhouse cities, and two powerhouse radio stations to battle it out Wednesday in Bordentown. It's going to be a tremendous day."
