Bruce Fohr Becomes a Partner In Eastlan Ratings

Bruce Fohr, President/owner of Tucson-based research firm FMR Associates, has become a partner in the Eastlan Ratings company. Over his radio research career, Fohr has worked for nearly 500 stations, broadcast companies and program producers. Along with his investment in Eastlan, Fohr's FMR Call Center in Tucson has taken over the entire fielding operations of Eastlan.

"Many our of clients over the years have asked me if I had ever considered getting into the ratings business-generally when they were expressing frustration over a recent book," said Fohr. "I never really thought seriously about it, until I became familiar with the Eastlan team. and their high-quality; very sound approach to radio ratings."

Fohr is 32-year veteran of radio research, starting as a research associate for the Frank N. Magid Associates company, in Marion, Iowa, in 1977. A little more than one year later, he was appointed VP/Director of Research at Magid's Radio/Print division. He left Magid in 1980 to form a new radio research and consulting firm, Communications Research in Tucson, AZ, in partnership with Surrey Broadcasting and programmer, Ken Dennis. He established FMR Associates in 1981. (11-03-09)
