ESPN Deportes Radio Expands Coverage in Florida

ESPN said Wednesday that ESPN Deportes Radio, a 24/7 Spanish-language radio network covering sports, will launch in Tampa as "ESPN Deportes WAMA" and Orlando as "ESPN Deportes WAMT" this week. With these agreements, ESPN Deportes Radio is now available in four major Hispanic cities in Florida, including WOCN-AM/Miami, WJNX-AM/West Palm Beach and now on WAMA-AM/Orlando and WAMT-AM/Tampa.
"The Hispanics in the Orlando and Tampa markets are passionate about sports and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring them the best of sports radio, as well as be the first and only Spanish-language all sports station in these cities," said ESPN Deportes Radio Senior Director/GM Oscar Ramos. "These agreements reinforce our commitment to continued growth of the radio network among the top Hispanic markets across the country."

With this new affiliate, ESPN Deportes Radio now has 39 affiliates nationwide and reach of 48 percent of Hispanic population in the U.S.
