Curtis Media is purchasing former Radio Disney affiliate 5kw WCOG-AM (1320)/Greensboro for $350,000. The station recently went dark, after Disney said it would retreat from medium and small-size markets in favor of Internet delivery and new media. WCOG had been carrying Radio Disney's Childrens programming since 2000, and was acquired by the company in 2005.
Bill Schutz brokered the transaction for Radio Disney, while John Pierce handled the deal for Curtis Media.
