Salem flips Business Talk WWRC-AM/Washington, DC, to News/Talk "1260 WRC" under a Local Marketing Agreement (LMA) with Red Zebra Broadcasting. Earlier this year, Salem agreed to acquire WWRC. The new lineup includes Salem's Bill Bennett, Mike Gallagher, Dennis Prager, Michael Medved and Hugh Hewitt.
Salem Radio Network VP/News and Talk Programming Tom Tradup said, "Obviously, we are thrilled to extend SRN's 'footprint' in our nation's capital... and [we] look forward the shaking up the DC radio market in the exciting days ahead."
Red Zebra acquired WWRC in 2008 from Clear Channel as part of a multi-station deal which included Sports WTEM-AM (ESPN 980). WTEM is the flagship for the Washington Redskins and its network.
