Cook Exits Greater Media's WBEN-FM/Philadelphia

John Cook exits Greater Media/Philadelphia as PD of Adult Hits WBEN-FM (95.7 BEN FM) after less than a year in the position. Cook joined as Program Director of then Hot AC WNUW-FM (Now 97.5) before it made the move to Sports by simulcasting WPEN-AM in October, 2009. He then assumed programming duties of WBEN.
In a statement, Greater Media said that it had "chosen not to renew John Cook's contract. We are grateful for his contributions and wish him the best. Details on a successor will be forthcoming in the days ahead."
Cook previously served as the Operations Manager at Entercom's Country WDAF-FM/Kansas City. Before that he worked as PD of Country KPLX-FM (99.5 The Wolf)/ Dallas, CHR KIIS-FM/Los Angeles and CHR KHKS-FM (106.1 Kiss FM)/Dallas.
