McVay New Media names Dan Halyburton as VP/Innovation, working with broadcasters and technology companies to grow their revenue. This is the second addition to McVay New Media's consulting team in 2010, following the appointment of broadcast veteran Jon Erdahl as McVay New Media VP/Digital Strategy in January.
Halyburton launched Susquehanna Radio's digital platform in 1997 and the company promoted him in 2001 to head its new media and technology efforts. He's previously served as VP/Market Manager for Susquehanna/Dallas and Emmis/New York. Most recently, Halyburton was President of RadioTime, a search engine for streaming radio, which he will continue to consult as part of his new role at McVay New Media.
Halyburton said, "McVay New Media is on the cutting edge of where broadcasting needs to be in the 21st century. I am excited to be a part of McVay New Media's team of innovators as we continue to build online marketing and sales strategies for our clients. Their innovation, resources, and leadership represent the best of what this industry has to offer."
McVay New Media President Daniel Anstandig added, "Dan Halyburton is one of the most respected and progressive thinkers in the industry. His track record speaks for itself -- strong strategies, powerful brands, and profitable success."
