After announcing the additions of Pat O'Brien and Mike North, Fox Sports Radio taps Philadelphia sports writer and talk host Anthony Gargano to join the network's national lineup. He currently hosts middays on Sports WIP-AM/Philadelphia, since January, 2000. He also hosts pre-game and post-game shows for the Philadelphia Eagles and co-hosts the Charlie Manuel Show on 610-WIP.
"I'm ecstatic to join Fox Sports Radio's all-star team," said Gargano. "I feel honored to be heard in over 300 markets and on XM Satellite Radio while continuing to host my daily show on 610-WIP in Philadelphia. It's a wonderful privilege to wake up every day and talk about the games we love."
"Anthony Gargano has been a fixture in the Philadelphia sports world for many years and we look forward to introducing him to our national audience," added VP/GM Don Martin. "Anthony is a media machine and we are excited to have him join our Fox Sports Radio family."
Gargano is also a sports anchor and correspondent at Fox 29 TV in Philadelphia. His third book, "NFL Unplugged: The Brutal, Brilliant World of Professional Football," which is a reality-based look at a player's life in the NFL, is due out nationally in September 2010.
