Hubbard Radio's WTMX-HD2/Chicago inks a partnership with Rick O'Dell to simulcast his SmoothJazzChicago.net beginning Tuesday. In making the announcement, Senior VP/Programming Greg Solk said, "We are thrilled to partner with Rick and his very high-quality programming of Smooth Jazz Chicago and look forward to bringing this product to many starved Chicago Smooth Jazz fans at 101.9 FM HD2."
O'Dell commented, "Twenty-seven years ago, WTMX was WCLR. And WCLR was the station that ushered in the Smooth Jazz era in Chicago when it premiered the Sunday Lite Brunch seven months before WNUA hit the air in 1987. So, with this affiliation between SmoothJazzChicago.net and WTMX HD2, Smooth Jazz has come full circle in Chicago."
