Strong Tower Christian Media Acquires WIRO in Portsmouth

Fowler Media Partners, LLC of Ohio has announced the sale of WIRO-FM in Garrison-Portsmouth, OH to Strong Tower Christian Media of Xenia, OH. Strong Tower will begin operating the station through an LMA in the coming weeks. The sale which is pending final FCC approval will return the frequency to its original purpose as a non-commercial license and Christian Format.

Presently, Strong Tower Christian media owns and operates 50kW WEEC (Hope 100.7)/Springfield-Dayton and 50kW WFCJ (93.7 The Light)/Miamisburg-Dayton and greater Cincinnati.

"Strong Tower Christian Media is excited about coming to the tri-state area with our Southern Gospel Hits format. This is an answer to prayer as we've been asking God to expand our territory for His glory. This is a new market for us and we're beyond thrilled about reaching new listeners", said Strong Tower President Tracy Figley.

"Strong Tower Christian Radio Stations are solid, well programmed and their group is humble. I have no problem saying one of my best accomplishments for this station is placing it in the hands of Strong Tower and we cannot wait to celebrate their success and see what God does through this frequency. I love their mission, vision and their Team", added Fowler Media Partners' Bryan Fowler.

Bryan Fowler represented Fowler Media Partners in this transaction and Tracy Figley represented Strong Tower Christian Media.
