Bustos Media has agreed to acquire KDRI (101.7 FM and 830 AM The Drive) in Tucson for $800,000. The Oldies outlet will become part of the Portland, OR-based company on Saturday, April 1, in a deal signed this week. The Drive joins Bustos' four other Tucson stations, including KTGV (106.3 FM The Groove), KVOI (1030 AM The Voice), KZLZ-FM-HD (92.5 FM Urbana) and KZLZ (La Poderosa 105.3 FM).

"No other radio station cluster in Tucson will match Bustos' new range and diversity of listeners," said President and Found Fletcher McCusker. "The combined audience will be the most representative of the Tucson market."

"I am happy to have driven this special format. The listener response has been nothing short of phenomenal. I am also happy to transfer The DRIVE to Bustos so it takes its proud place as the flagship of his radio group," said the Drive programmer Bobby Rich.
