Birmingham's 103.7 the Q Debuts "Alabama in the Morning"

WQEN 103.7 The Q, Birmingham's Hit Music Station, announced today the debut of the new "Alabama in the Morning," effective immediately. "Alabama in the Morning" will broadcast weekdays from 6-10 a.m. CST and be hosted by Alabama Cole and DJ New Era. The new show will feature interactive topics, listener games, plus a unique perspective on pop culture and local events.

As her name implies, Alabama Cole is a homegrown talent from Birmingham, Alabama. She has worked in morning radio for iHeartMedia Chicago's BIG 95.5 and iHeartMedia Seattle's HITS 106.1, among other stations throughout her career. She is also a successful podcaster, author, and public speaker.

DJ New Era is also a Birmingham native and has become an elite DJ with residencies in Atlanta, New York, and Las Vegas. He can also be heard on iHeartRadio's 104.1 the Beat in Birmingham, Alabama, and Hot 105.7 in Montgomery, Alabama.

"Both Alabama and DJ New Era have worked incredibly hard to prepare for this opportunity, said Dino Conrad, Program Director for 103.7 the Q. "I couldn't be more excited for these two and what we're building in Birmingham!"

"We couldn't be happier to have Alabama and DJ New Era - two very talented personalities - at the helm of this new program," said Ray Quinn, Area President for iHeartMedia Alabama. "This team will bring Birmingham a unique, entertaining, and informative live and local morning show."

"Truly excited for this extremely talented duo to be Birmingham's spoonful of energy and entertainment in the mornings," said Shosh Abromovich, Division President for iHeartMedia.

"I'm so grateful for this opportunity," said Cole. " Being the host of my own morning show has been a dream of mine for a long time, and I cannot wait to bring great morning radio to my hometown!"
