Longtime Fargo, ND radio host Dan Michaels exits the morning show at KFGO (The Mighty 790). He's been on the air in North Dakota since 1977, working as KFGO's late afternoon news anchor since 2020, before moving into the morning program. In addition to KFGO, Michaels is the PA announcer at North Dakota State football and basketball games, duties which he'll continue to handle. The morning show continues to be hosted by Doug Leier, Robbie Daniels, Don Haney, Jack Michaels and Tom Syzmanski.
Michaels said, "We differed on the operation of the Morning Crew, and so I decided to step away," adding that "instead of fighting it, I just stepped away," he told The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead.
"Dan decided to pursue other interests. I don't know what those are, but I just know that I wish him success," commented KFGO Operations Manager Joel Heitkamp.
