After more than 20 years at WFLF (Newsradio WFLA) in Orlando, Bud Hedinger has retired as morning host. He joined the iHeartMedia News/Talk outlet in 2003 and moved to mornings in 2009. Hedinger previously spent time in local television, working in Syracuse for 25 years before heading to Nashville and Orlando and then moving to radio. Simon Conway will now host "Good Morning Orlando." He comes to the station after being regionally syndicated by iHeartMedia in Iowa in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and Davenport.
"I am what I seldom am: all but speechless," said Hedinger in a video posted on the station's Facebook page. "Full of gratitude and love for the opportunity I've had here at iHeartRadio and News Radio WLFA. To the untold thousands of people that populate the 50,000-watt front porch, I'll miss you all. But I'll never forget you. Thanks for the memories."
