CHR WIXX-FM/Green Bay, WI creates a new morning show to serve the Northeast Wisconsin region. Beginning Wednesday, February 7, WIXX debuts "Huggie, Natalie & Corey." Dan "Huggie" Amsden has aired in afternoon for the past 2 years is transitioning to the mornings. Huggie has held radio posts at Live 95.5/Portland, Movin' 92.5/Seattle, 103.5 Kiss FM/Boise and 97.5/Las Vegas before joining WIXX in 2022.
"Mornings has been my goal since I was 10 years old," remarked Huggie. "If not now, when? This is the perfect time to jump on it and love the team we've assembled."
Natalie Kay, a Wisconsin native, comes from Milwaukee where she's had a 10-year run at WHQG. Her experience in Milwaukee included, being a solo host as well as co-host in afternoons. Kay also has a multifaceted personality known for her presence in the entertainment industry. From reality TV, to artist interviews, to being the Director of community engagement and execution with Spearhead Conversations.
Kay added, "I am beyond thrilled to embark on this exciting journey with the legendary WIXX. Joining the new morning show is not just a career milestone; it's an opportunity to connect with the vibrant community, share laughs, and bring a fresh wave of entertainment to your mornings. Corey Carter will also join the morning team. He's been the Brand Manager and air talent at WIXX for 13 years.
