Veteran personality Michael J will take over as the morning host at iHeartMedia Country 93.1 WPOC in Baltimore, starting January 6. Michael J, a Baltimore native who has spent the last 25 years hosting the afternoon slot at WPOC, will co-host "The Michael J Morning Show" with Bethany Linderman. Jeff St. Pierre, who currently co-hosts the morning show with Linderman, will shift to afternoons.

"Having Michael, a true Baltimore boy, team up with Bethany in the morning is an exciting new chapter for WPOC. He brings a deep connection to the community and a passion for country music that's sure to resonate with our listeners," said Jeff Kapugi, Region Senior Vice President of Programming at iHeartMedia. "This lineup adjustment positions us well to continue delivering engaging and entertaining content to our audience."

In addition to his new role at WPOC, Michael J will continue to host the midday show on WMZQ in Washington, DC and his voice will still be a fixture across various iHeartMedia stations nationwide.

Reflecting on his new role, Michael J expressed his enthusiasm and personal connection to the station: "I finally found a job that lets me wear my pajamas to work. Growing up, I listened to WPOC with my granddad, who was a country music superfan. To now lead the morning show on the station that shaped my love for radio and music is truly living the dream."
