"XYZ with Erik Zachary," in partnership with Skyview Networks, will transition from evenings to mornings in Chicago, starting January 13. Erik Zachary and his team will now entertain morning commuters on Alpha Media's WZSR-FM and WSSR-FM. The program airs five hours each weekday, with additional programming over the weekend.
Tim Richards, Content Director of both stations, praised the show's evolution. "Erik and his team have turned XYZ into a world-class brand. This new morning format will not only leverage Erik's deep connections in Chicago but also amplify our local content, making a perfect match for our morning drive listeners," Richards commented.
Erik Zachary, who grew up listening to Chicago morning radio, shared his enthusiasm about fulfilling a lifelong dream. "It's an honor to be part of this legendary broadcast time. We are eager to bring our hallmark authenticity and wit to morning radio, making every commute feel like a conversation with friends," Zachary stated.
Co-host Jordan Foster emphasized the show's community focus. "Our goal has always been to connect deeply with our audience. Mornings give us a fresh opportunity to bring our genuine friendship into listeners' daily routines, helping them start their day on a positive note," said Foster.
Skyview Networks SVP of Business Development and Communication Andrew Kalb expressed support for the show's expansion. "Moving XYZ into the morning slot opens new doors for us in terms of affiliate relations and audience engagement. We are excited to see where this new daypart takes Erik and his team," Kalb added.
