Hot AC WMXZ-FM (Mix 95.9) in Charleston, SC has officially announced Jay Shadix as the newest member of the "2 Girls and A Guy Morning Show," weekdays from 6-10am. He succeeds the beloved Mike Edwards who passed away last December. Edwards, the creator of the 2GG brand, had been the backbone of the show for over ten years. Shadix, a familiar voice to listeners, has frequently filled in on the show since Edwards' sudden passing.

Co-host Brooke Ryan expressed her confidence in Shadix, stating, "The most exciting part for me is that while no one will ever replace Mike (nor would we ever want someone to), Jay is a great addition and will be a different kind of 'Guy' for the show."

Co-host Tanya Brown echoed Ryan's sentiments, highlighting Shadix's unique qualities: "Jay is not here to replace, he's here for his own light to shine. Welcome to 2 Girls and A Guy Jay! I'm looking forward to years of laughter as a team."

Shadix brings a diverse background to the show, not only as a radio personality but also as an actor in notable projects like "Red Notice" and "The Menu," and even working as Peyton Manning's body double in Super Bowl commercials. A resident of Summerville, Shadix is also an Army veteran and a graduate of Goose Creek High School.

Shadix expressed his respect for the legacy left by Edwards: "I'm incredibly honored to join Tanya and Brooke on 2 Girls and A Guy on Mix 95.9. No one can truly fill Mike Edwards' shoes. He was a legend. I'm going to do my best to bring laughter, heart, and maybe just a little chaos-because I think Mike would've wanted it that way."
