WYXB-FM (B105.7)/Indianapolis Music Director and afternoon host Eric Allen has announced he will be leaving his post this Friday. Allen's departure marks the end of a notable six-year tenure at the Radio One AC outlet highlighted by his engaging presence and strong audience connection.

Allen, a veteran personality with extensive experience in Christian broadcasting, spent 14 years at Educational Media Foundation (EMF), where he co-hosted the popular "The Eric and Mandy Show" on Air1 with Mandy Young. His radio journey also includes roles as a morning co-host on Air1's sister network K-Love and leadership positions such as Program Director and Assistant Program Director for Air1 between 2008 and 2009.

Reflecting on his time at WYXB-FM, Allen took to Facebook to express his gratitude and share his thoughts on the future. "A new season approaches... Friday will be my last day at Eric Allen on B105.7. I'll be embarking on a new radio adventure (more on that another time)," wrote Allen. His post conveyed a deep appreciation for the experiences and achievements during his tenure, including navigating the challenges of a pandemic and a station ownership change.

Allen's impact extended beyond the airwaves, touching the lives of his listeners with music, interviews with rock and roll hall of famers, and coverage of numerous concerts. As he prepares for his final show, which will unusually last eight hours from 11am-7pm, Allen acknowledged the support of his audience. "To the listeners - thank you! Radio is always about you! I'm grateful that you allowed me to be part of your life - I hope it made your afternoons a little better and brighter."
