Red Apple Audio Networks and 77WABC in New York are expanding The Anthony Cumia Show from two to three hours, now airing live Sundays from 8-11pm ET beginning May 4. The extended program will also be made available to affiliates nationwide.

Cumia joined 77WABC on March 8, marking his return to terrestrial radio. Just one week later, the show was syndicated to other markets on March 16. Since then, 20 stations have picked up the program, with additional affiliates expected to be announced.

"The response from listeners and affiliates to Anthony's return to radio has been astounding," said Chad Lopez, President of Red Apple Media and 77WABC Radio. "Listeners and affiliates were clamoring for more Anthony Cumia, so we extended his show."

Digital engagement with the show has also been strong. According to 77WABC, the show's podcast has reached 100,522 downloads since its March 9 debut, and first-time users of the 77WABC app increased by 2945% compared to the same period a year ago.

"I missed radio as much - perhaps more - than radio missed me," said Cumia. "I'm thrilled that WABC Radio gave me the opportunity to return to my radio fans."

Cumia's broadcasting career began in 1994 as co-host of Opie and Anthony, first on WBAB on Long Island, then on WAAF in Boston, and later on WNEW-FM in New York, where the show went into national syndication. The program transitioned to satellite radio in 2004.
