Veteran Dallas air personality Bo Roberts exits iHeartMedia's Classic Rock KZPS (Lonestar 92.5), marking the end of an era for one of North Texas' most iconic morning shows. His departure comes amid companywide layoffs this week, officially closing the book on the legendary "Bo & Jim Show."
Roberts' storied career began at KCIR Corsicana, TX, before moving to WRNO New Orleans, where he met his future on-air partner "Long Jim" White. The duo reunited in 1982 at Dallas' Rock KTXQ (Q102), where they were paired for mornings and quickly became one of the city's most popular teams. Following Q102's closure in 1997, they joined KZPS in 1998 for afternoons, later shifting to mornings.
After a brief stint hosting solo mornings at KDBN (93.3 The Bone), Roberts reunited with White at KZPS in 2004. The "Bo & Jim Show" would go on to dominate Dallas mornings for nearly two decades. White retired in July 2022, with the show rebranded as "Bo & Them."
Current co-hosts Anna De Haro and Alan Ayo now lead the station's morning program under the new banner, "Lonestar Mornings."
Roberts and White were inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame in 2018.
