Jason La Canfora is no longer part of the weekday lineup at WJZ-FM (105.7 The Fan), ending a five-year run on the Baltimore sports outlet's afternoon program "Inside Access," leaving co-hosts Ken Weinman and Tim Barbalace in the 2-6pm slot. A spokesperson for Audacy confirmed Thursday that La Canfora is no longer with the company.

Weinman briefly addressed the change on air Thursday, telling listeners that La Canfora was no longer with Audacy and that "Inside Access" would continue. He added that the station wished La Canfora well and encouraged listeners to keep tuning in.

La Canfora said he was given no specific reason for the decision. In a statement, he noted he was one year into a three-year contract and had recently been part of a staff meeting in which management highlighted the show's ratings and YouTube performance. "There were no reasons given and they would not say anything other than they were moving in a different direction," he said.

A memo to staff from Tracy Brandys, Senior Vice President and Market Manager for Audacy Baltimore, confirmed the departure and said the station would begin identifying a replacement in the near future.

La Canfora joined 105.7 The Fan in 2020 after establishing a national profile as an NFL insider with The Washington Post, NFL Network and CBS Sports. A Baltimore native, he became a prominent and sometimes polarizing voice in the market, known for outspoken criticism of local sports executives, including the Ravens and Orioles leadership.

During his tenure on "Inside Access," La Canfora also launched a sports betting podcast, "Wanna Bet," with station producer Ben Hall.
