Colorado Public Radio has expanded its CPR Classical team with the addition of Mario Rivas (pictured far left) and William Carman as host/producers. The pair bring complementary backgrounds in filmmaking, music performance, education and community engagement, offering fresh perspectives on making classical music more accessible to listeners across the state.

"Both Mario and William are natural storytellers whose creativity, curiosity and love of music shine through," said Monika Vischer, Program Director of CPR Classical. "They each bring unique experiences that will inspire new perspectives and discoveries for our listeners. We're thrilled to welcome them to the CPR Classical team."

Rivas joins CPR Classical after serving as manager of marketing and media for Denver nonprofit Servicios de La Raza. A native of Mexico City, he earned a degree in film production from the University of Southern California and spent more than 20 years working as a writer, producer, host and video editor before relocating to Colorado. His new role marks a return to arts-focused storytelling, combining his production experience with a lifelong passion for music.

Carman arrives after operating his own music business for the past decade, where his work included performance, audio engineering, transcription, private instruction and commissioned arrangements. A composer and multi-instrumentalist with a percussion background, he also has been active in Colorado's arts community, converting the former Local 46 stage into a backyard venue that hosts live music, theater and spoken-word performances designed to bring artists and neighbors together.
