AC WLYF-FM (101.5 Lite FM) in Miami has announced a new weekday lineup following the retirement of longtime personality Gayle Garton, with Ashley O. moving into middays and Jess Bonilla taking over afternoons. Ashley O. has also been named Music Director and will host from 10am-3pm ET. Bonilla will follow from 3-7pm.
The changes come after Garton retired following 34 years serving South Florida listeners as an air personality, Music Director and Assistant Brand Manager.
"Gayle's impact goes far beyond the music she played or the hours she spent behind the microphone," said 101.5 LITE FM Brand Manager Michelle Stevens. "Gayle helped define what LITE means to South Florida, she's our Matriarch and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has given our listeners, our station and our team."
Stevens said the station is excited to welcome Ashley O. and Bonilla while building on the foundation established by Garton. "I'm excited to host middays on LITE," said Ashley O. "I grew up listening to Gayle, and am honored they are passing the baton to me."
Ashley O. previously hosted mornings on sister station WSFS-FM (104.3 The Shark) and has held on-air and production positions at WFEZ and WFLC. She will continue her on-air role with Audacy's LGBTQ network CHANNEL Q, which she joined in 2025.
Bonilla began her radio career in Detroit in 2000 in promotions before joining Audacy Orlando in 2002. During her tenure there, she has served in several roles, including air personality and Promotions Assistant.
"Afternoons in Miami? What could be better!" said Bonilla. Bonilla will continue to host middays on WOMX-FM (Mix 105.1) in Orlando in addition to her new afternoon duties at WLYF.
