Pedro Escalera Exits Latino 102.7/Austin as Program Director

Following the takeover of Emmis/Austin by Sinclair/Waterloo Media, KLZT-FM-HD2 and K274AX (Latino 102.7) Program Director/morning host Pedro Escalera (aka Pedro Al Aire) exits the bi-lingual CHR outlet. He joined the local group in 2009 and was a part of the launch Emmis' Spanish language including Regional Mexican KLZT-FM (La Z) in 2009. In June, 2013, Escalera was appointed Music Director and afternoon talent after 3 years serving as Production and Imaging Director for sister 107.1 La Z. His previous stops include Border Media/Austin, Univision/Phoenix and KZZP-FM/Phoenix.
